Rehabilitation Services
Not every injury has one solution. Sometimes, treatment for an injury or condition is ongoing, creating the need for rehabilitation services. Sutter Delta Medical Center practices a multidisciplinary approach, with highly trained staff specialized in the fields of physical, occupational and speech therapy.
The goal of our rehabilitation program is to deliver comprehensive services to individuals of all ages. Inpatient and outpatient services are provided and include thorough assessments, treatment planning, delivery and documentation of care, consultation, re-evaluation and discharge planning.
Physical Therapy
Patients may need physical therapy for any number of reasons: an injury, a stroke, surgery or a motion-limiting ailment such as arthritis, to name a few. Therapy can help patients regain movement and resume normal daily activities.
The therapist develops a treatment plan to help you gain strength, increase mobility, reduce pain and prevent recurrence.

Kinesio Taping®
Kinesio Taping is a technique based on the body’s natural healing process. Applied over muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, this procedure can relax overused, tired muscles and add support to muscles in movement 24 hours a day. It is nonrestrictive taping, which allows for full range of motion.
By targeting different receptors within the body’s sensory system, it helps alleviate pain and facilitate lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. The specialized tape is latex-free and wearable for days at a time. This method is safe to use on patients of all ages. Sutter Delta is proud to offer Kinesio Taping with a certified Kinesio practitioner.

Pelvic Floor Therapy
The pelvic floor refers to a group of muscles that support your internal organs. The vagina or penis, urethra and anus rely on pelvic floor muscles to function properly. Combined, these organs and muscles help support the bladder and rectum, help control the urine and stool and maintain sexual function.
Physical therapy uses evidence-based treatment techniques such as strength training, manual therapy and behavior changes to promote pelvic floor health in patients with the following conditions:
- Incontinence
- Interstitial cystitis
- Painful bladder syndrome
- Sacroiliac joint pain
- Urinary frequency
- Urinary urgency
