Pediatric Services
In March 2005, Sutter Delta Medical Center opened a dedicated Pediatric unit of 7 beds. Nursing staff is specially trained in the care of pediatric patients and the unit is designed to allow for parents/caregivers to be with their child during their stay. In addition to comfortable furnishings and pleasant, bright décor, the unit includes a large playroom stocked with toys and games to help our patients and/or their siblings pass the time during their recovery.
Various types of patients are admitted to the Pediatric Unit. We treat many children for things such as asthma, diabetes and pneumonia.
Sutter Delta has partnered with Pediatrix Medical Group 
to provide pediatric patients with 24 hour in house physician care to treat newborns, infants and children using the latest, state-of-the-art equipment. Our staff of highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalists work hand in hand with community pediatricians to meet the unique needs of our younger patients.
