Women's Health Center
A brand new, state-of-the-art Women’s Health Center was opened in 2005, offering a comfortable home-like setting for women and their families. Patients cared for in the Center include women who are receiving either obstetrical or gynecological services. These patients include such things as normal delivery, high risk pregnancy, operative deliveries (C-Sections), hysterectomy D&C, laparoscopy and tubal ligations.
There is 24 hour/seven day per week coverage for OB/GYN services. All Obstetrical services are provided by residency trained Obstetricians. GYN service is provided by Gynecologists or Family Practitioners.
In addition to our Newborn Nursery, a Level-II Special Care Nursery was added to accommodate newborns who need a higher level of care, allowing mom and baby to stay together in the community versus transferring the baby to another facility. Infants who may stay in the Special Care Nursery are those babies who were born too early, have respiratory issues, feeding issues, dehydration or illness. Newborns requiring surgical intervention or a higher level of care are transferred to a higher level facility to ensure they get exactly what they need. Our team of specially trained Pediatric Hospitalists is here, in house 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ready and available to attend to the needs of you and your baby.
