The Emergency Deptartment provides Level II emergency care to patients 24 hours daily, 7 days a week. The care includes assessment, stabilization, and treatment. Patients who need a higher level of care will be stabilized and transferred.

Patients served range from infants to geriatrics. Emergency Physician services are contracted through the California Emergency Physicians Medical Group.

Specialty consultation is available by members of the Medical Staff. The Emergency Room is fully staffed with Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Nursing Assistants. The Emergency Department works with other hospital departments to ensure that appropriate and timely diagnostic procedures are obtained, and that appropriate dispositions occur based on the patients needs and in consultation with patients and/or their significant others.

All patients are seen and evaluated regardless of their ability to pay.
