    Breastfeeding: Beyond the Basics - Amador

    This one-evening class is highly recommended for first-time or experienced mothers who are planning to breastfeed. Find out more about the latest research and recommendations for success. This interactive class is taught by a certified lactation consultant.

    • Myths vs. realities
    • Biological nurturing
    • Milk supply issues
    • Avoiding problems that may complicate your experience
    • Physical and emotional adjustments for the family
    • Nutrition & exercise while breastfeeding
    • Returning to work or school
    • Expressing & storing milk

    Guests share how they worked through breastfeeding challenges to success. Fathers and grandparents are encouraged to attend.

    Classes are FREE if you are delivering at Sutter Amador Hospital. If not delivering at Sutter Amador Hospital, classes are $10 per family. Please call (209) 223-7452 to register.

    NOTE: First priority will be given to families delivering at Sutter Amador Hospital, as space is limited.
